Celine Butler obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Biology from Laurentian University in 2004. In 2010, she received her Master's degree in Epidemiology from Ottawa University, and has been the Epidemiologist for the Timiskaming Health Unit in New Liskeard, Ontario since then.

 From 2004 to 2008, Ms Butler worked at various positions throughout Northern Ontario: Cancer Researcher for Health Sciences North, Data Analyst for Timiskaming Child Care--Ontario Early Years, and, finally, as a Health Promoter for the Timiskaming Health Unit.
